Dear Knights, Dames, Medallists, supporters and friends,
I write to inform you that H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master of our beloved Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George has decided to nominate and appoint me from today as the Delegate of the British and Irish Delegation, ad interim pro tempore, pending the selection and appointment of a new Delegate.
Lord Murphy of Torfaen has kindly agreed to continue in the role of Vice Delegate.
In assuming this office, I would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Anthony Bailey for the great work he has done in the past for the delegation and for his steadfast and continued support to our Order.
The time has come, however, to chart a new course for the Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland.
Mr. Bailey has graciously agreed to support me in my new role, enabling an orderly and constructive transition. This will include handing over of the Delegation’s website, its domain name and Member’s database.
I will be in London in January 2025 to nominate the new Delegation Council so that whatever issue the Delegation might have in the future it will be assessed and resolved seamlessly and in accordance with the new statutes.
At the same time, as we are close to the holidays, I would like to send my best wishes for a Holy Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the members of the Delegation hoping that 2025, a Jubilee Year, will be one of renewed faith, happiness and increased charitable activities aimed at those in need.
I look forward to meeting and talking to most of you in the course of the next couple of months.
With my best confraternal regards,
Don Paolo Costantino Borghese
Prince of Nettuno
Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland
