Dear Knights and Dames of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George,
In this holy Easter, the mystery of the Lord’s death and resurrection, and with the
upcoming feast of our celestial Patron, Saint George the Martyr, I wish to address you
with a message of closeness and encouragement.
Pope Francis reminds us: “Christ is risen, and with Him rises our hope. He is the Lord
of life, and with His love, He has conquered death, sin, and fear.”
This hope is the cornerstone of our faith and should also be the light guiding your
chivalric commitment, in fidelity to the Church and service to those in need.
Saint George, with his example of courage and fidelity to Christ, inspire you to live
charity ardently and defend the Cross of Christ and the truth with meekness. He, a
model of heroic fortitude, reminds us that “holiness does not make you less human,
because it is the encounter of your weakness with the strength of grace.”
We ask for his intercession so that, with courage and humility, we too may be
instruments of good in the Lord’s hands.
Pope Francis urges us: “Let us not allow ourselves to be robbed of missionary
enthusiasm!”
Be always joyful witnesses of the faith, aware that true service is gift and sacrifice.
In this spirit of celebration and prayer, we join affectionately and devotedly with the
universal Church in wishing Pope Francis that the Risen Lord, through the intercession
of Saint George, grant him health, strength, and consolation to continue guiding the
people of God with love and wisdom.
In extending to each of you and your loved ones the sincerest wishes for a Holy Easter,
I invoke upon the entire Constantinian Order the protection of the Virgin Mary and Saint
George.
Happy Easter and Happy Feast of Saint George to all!
With affection and blessing,
Marcello Card. Semeraro
