London, November 2014. The Constantinian Order is one of the major sponsors for the Christmas Carol Service organised by its adopted charity The Passage. The Chancery would like to extend an invitation to our knights and dames and friends of the Order to attend the service which will be held on Tuesday 16 December 2014 at 6-7pm at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1P 3JX. There is no charge for tickets, but donations will be gratefully received. A £25 minimum donation per ticket is suggested and tickets are expected to be sold out very soon.
The Delegate, HE Sir Anthony Bailey, OBE, will be attending together with HSH Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenberg.
This impressive event will be held by candlelight in one of the most prestigious churches in the country and will include a wonderful combination of festive readings and carols. Readers will include Geraldine James, OBE, Julia McKenzie, Gary Walthorn and Fenella Woolgar. The Christmas Carol Service was established in 2012 and last years fully subscribed event raised in excess of £20,000.
The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George has supported for the past 15 years the work of The Passage and forms part of a new charitable programme of the Grand Magistry of the Order entitled “The Hunger of our Neighbour”.
The Passage has dedicated itself to the homeless in Central London who are some of the poorest people in Britain today. Through the support you give by being present at the service you support their mission to provide resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives.
