Rome – April 2003. On the occasion of St George’s Day, Patron Saint of the Constantinian Order, the Grand Prefect, His Royal Highness The Duke of Calabria, sent a message of greeting to all Knights and Dames of the Order.
In the address the Grand Prefect commented “As we commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the martyrdom of St. George, patron saint of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, the events and initiatives undertaken for this commemoration recall the tradition of faith of this Order and of its members.
As we gather together to recall St George, and his exploits, let this serve as basis for developing our activities in a deeper and more permanent way that will lead to the exaltation of the Saint’s memory, his spiritual and moral legacy, which lives through the members of our Order. The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George welcomes the praiseworthy initiatives that are now being undertaken thanks to your efforts which further enrich the activities of this Order.”
