London, January 2016. We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our small team. This role will include a wide variety of administrative and general office duties, mainly editing and maintaining WordPress based websites, utilising Adobe Indesign for designing brochures and taking part in managing high profile events. There are also some secretarial duties, including answering phones, diary management and travel planning. This position would be initially on a 3 day basis (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – 09.30 to 18.00) and then full time from 31 March 2016. The salary will be £22000 p/y (which will be calculated on a pro rata basis during the 3 day weeks)
The person we are looking for is a flexible and dynamic person who prefers working in a close-knit and friendly office. Flexibility, attention to detail, a willingness to learn and to do things outside your job description is a must as we are a small team in a small office where we all get exposure to a wide variety of tasks and projects. Needless to say professionalism is key as we predominantly deal with VIP’s, high profile organisations and individuals.
What we are looking for:
• Familiarity with Mac OS and Apple computers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office package and especially Excel
• Experience in WordPress and website management, updating websites with articles and news stories
• Capable of using the different softwares of the Adobe Creative Suite package, ideally Indesign and Photoshop
• Technical knowledge or being a fast technical learner is definitely a plus
• Additional language skills an advantage but not a prerequisite
• Any prior experience working with statesmen, personalities and religious figures will be advantageous
• Professional telephone and manner
• High attention to detail, outstanding organisation skills and resilience
• Solid English writing and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to learn and perform a wide variety of tasks
• Ability to manage many simultaneous tasks whilst maintaining a high standard
• To assist in all general office administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, scanning
