Dublin, June 2011. Irish based members of the Delegation met in Dublin on Thursday 9 June 2011 – the feast of St Columba, the second Patron Saint of Ireland.
Mass was celebrated in University Church, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin. The Celebrant was Dr Raymond Field, Titular Bishop of Àrd Mór and Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin. Concelebrants were the Very Rev Feargal McGrady P.P, from Belfast and the Very Rev Ciaran O’Carroll, Vicar Episcopal for Evangelisation, University Church. The chalice of the Blessed Cardinal Newman was used during the Mass.
The Knights and Dames of the Order entered in formal procession, led by the Vice Delegate for Ireland, Professor Richard Conroy. The procession was preceded by flag bearers carrying the Irish, British and Constantinian flags.
The homily was delivered by Bishop Raymond Field.
Intercessions included prayers for the Holy Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI, all Christian churches, the Grand Master, the Cardinal Grand Prior, and also for all who are sick and for all who suffer.
A reception and dinner followed in the Kildare Street and University Club in Dublin hosted by the Vice Delegate. The speakers at the dinner were Professor Richard Conroy and Bishop Raymond Field.
A wide ranging discussion took place, to which all Knights and Dames present contributed, on the aims and objectives of the Constantinian Order and the role of the Irish Members of the Order in furthering the aims and objectives of the Order.
