We are looking for an intern who wishes to gain experience in the interfaith/intercultural charity field while developing skills for their future careers at the Chancery based in Central London. This role will include a wide variety of administrative and general office duties, including answering phones, diary management and travel planning. This position would be on a 2 day basis (Thursday and Friday’s) 09.30 to 18.30 with some extra hours depending on the workload.
The person we are looking for is a flexible and dynamic person – Perhaps you are still studying, are in your early career, or just have a passion for office work? Flexibility, attention to detail, a willingness to learn and to do things outside your job description is a must as we are a small team in a small office where we all get exposure to a wide variety of tasks and projects. Needless to say professionalism is key as we predominantly deal with VIP’s, high profile organisations and individuals.
During this work experience, you will:
• Get familiar with Mac OS and Apple computers
• Use Microsoft Office package and especially Excel
• Learn how to update WordPress based websites with articles and news stories
• Get a taster of utilizing Adobe Indesign to make brochures
• Answer and make calls with a Professional manner
• Book meetings
• Diary and address book management
• Draft official letters and emails
• Assist in all general office administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, scanning
• Keep track of office supply and stationary stock and inventory
• Reception meets and greets and servicing visitors
• Additional language skills an advantage but not a prerequisite
