Rome 11 April 2020. The Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, in response to the tragic consequences of the COVID-19 crisis which has devastated Italy in recent weeks has launched an urgent appeal for financial support.
In this first message to the knights and dames of the dynastic orders, the Prince and Grand Master said “I have decided to commit personally to supporting Italy during this difficult moment and to helping hospitals and those working on the front lines in this health emergency.
“Several fundraisers have already been launched to support Italy’s most affected hospitals, but I am concerned about establishments and locales where the spread of this epidemic and a lack of intensive care equipment might have even more dramatic consequences.Therefore, through the Constantinian Order Charity Onlus, I launched a fundraising initiative whose donations will be distributed equally among those hospitals with fewer resources which need to increase their equipment and intensive care capacity.
“We do not want to stop at set goals. Let’s try to raise as much as we can. The first fifty thousand euros have already been allocated.Each euro that you will donate will represent a glimmer of hope and a small drop of life that helps us to overcome this adversity!Solidarity is an immense force. Let us join together to help each other!
