London, December 2014. The Constantinian Order was one of the major sponsors for the Christmas Carol Service organised by its adopted charity The Passage and held on 16 December 2014 at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

This impressive service was held by candlelight and included a wonderful combination of festive readings and carols. Readers included Geraldine James, OBE, Julia McKenzie, Gary Walthorn and Fenella Woolgar. Among attending were Delegate HE Sir Anthony Bailey, HSH Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenberg, The Lord and Lady Brennan of Bibury, The Rev Canon Christopher Tuckwell, The Hon Alexander Brennan, Sir Ewan and Lady Harper, Prince Don Cristoforo Rocco di Torrepadula, Mrs Farzaneh Hosseinzadeh, Mr John King, Councillor Clare Head, Mr and Mrs Norman Gooding, Mr Kevin Hart, Mr Stephen Hart and Mr and Mrs Philip Reynolds.

SONY DSCFollowing the Carol Service, a Reception was held hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Audrey Lewis at City Hall. The Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland, Anthony Bailey on behalf of the knights and dames of the Constantinian Order, presented a cheque of £8,500 to Mr Michael Clarke, Chief Executive of the Passage Homeless Centre. Mr Clarke paid tribute to the 15 year association between the Constantinian Order and The Passage Homeless Centre and thanked the knights and dames for their continued support.

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George has supported for the past 15 years the work of The Passage and forms part of a new international charitable programme of the Grand Magistry of the Order entitled “The Hunger of our Neighbour”.

The Passage has dedicated itself to the homeless in Central London who are some of the poorest people in Britain today. The Constantinian Order supports The Passage in its mission to encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives.
