Rome 24 June 2019. The Grand Magistry of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George has recently renewed its longstanding official relationship with the authorities of the Italian Republic.
In a ceremony held in the Upper Chamber of the Italian parliament, the President of the Senate of the Republic, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, received the Grand Master and Head of the Royal House, HRH The Duke of Castro. During the meeting the Grand Master promoted the President of the Senate to the rank and dignity of Dame Grand Cross of Grace of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.
In a separate ceremony the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Italian Republic, General Enzo Vecciarelli, welcomed HRH The Duke of Castro to the Ministry of Defence and promoted General Vecciarelli to the rank and dignity of Knight Grand Cross of Merit of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, in a ceremony held the presence of the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, General Luigi Francesco De Leverano.
The Prince and Grand Master was accompanied to both official meetings by the Order’s Grand Prefect HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies; Grand Chancellor H.E. Prince Francesco Ruspoli; Counselor of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies H.E. Ambassador Umberto Vattani; Vice Delegate for the City of Rome Count Riccardo Langosco di Langosco dei Conti Palatini di Lomello and by the Secretary General of the Order Dr Giampaolo Grazian.
