London, June 2013. The former Chief Minister of Gibraltar Peter Caruana QC has been knighted in the 2013 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Sir Peter been appointed a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG). Sir Peter Caruana stepped down as Leader of the Opposition in January following a long career in public service, including election for four consecutive terms as Chief Minister, totalling 15 years.
