Cardinal Albert Vanhoye appointed Grand Prior - Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George

In 2008, His Eminence Albert, Cardinal Vanhoye, SJ, was appointed by HRH The Duke of Castro as Grand Prior of the Constantinian Order. The Cardinal remained in post until his appointment in 2010 as Ecclesiastical Counsellor to the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies as Grand Prior Emeritus.

Constantinian Order

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and the Royal Order of Francis (Francesco) I are ancient and internationally recognised dynastic Orders of Knighthood. The Constantinian Order is actively involved in the defence and promotion of the Roman Catholic religion, and together with the multi-faith Royal Order of Francis I, undertakes spiritual, humanitarian, hospitaller and charitable projects and initiatives across Great Britain and its dependent territories, Ireland and the world.
