London, 27 April 2013. The Grand Prior of the Constantinian Order, His Eminence Renato Raffaele, Cardinal Martino, visited St Paul’s Cathedral in central London as part of his wider pastoral
visit to the United Kingdom.
His Eminence was accompanied by the Dean of St Paul’s, the Very Reverend David Ison and by the Order’s Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland, HE Mr Anthony Bailey. Also attending was Mr Alberto Janelli, Assistant Private Secretary to the Grand Master.
Cardinal Martino enjoyed a two hour tour of this historic London Cathedral and visited many of the chapels and tombs situated within the Cathedral.
His Eminence also visited the magnificent library and was given a first hand account of the Library’s treasurers by its librarian, Joseph Wisdom. The Cardinal signed the visitors book in the Library.
At the conclusion of the visit Cardinal Martino expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Dean and his staff and extended to Dr Ison an invitation to visit him in Vatican City.
