Budapest – March 2003. The Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, HRH The Duke of Castro formally named HE Dr Semjén Zsolt, as Delegate for the newly created Delegation in the Republic of Hungary.
The new Hungarian Delegation has launched numerous charitable and humanitarian projects in the Central European nation including completely furnishing a nursing home in Esztergom as well as providing much needed assistance to the homeless in Budapest. In recent months this has included numerous Constantinian Order volunteers regularly assisting in the distribution of food packages to the poor. In 2003 alone over 6 tons of clothing, blankets, and other materials were distributed.
The spiritual care of the Delegation has been entrusted to the Very Reverend Monsignor Bolberitz, who celebrates a monthly Mass for the members of the Order. The Hungarian Delegation has also recently organised a series of lectures on the Christian Faith, in which famous theologians, scientists and politicians from all over the world took part.
Dr Péter Harrach, Vice-President of the Hungarian Parliament, has assisted with the official incorporation of the new Delegation according to Hungarian law.
