London, 22 March 2013.The Chancery is delighted to announce that the Grand Prior of the Constantinian Order, His Eminence Renato Raffaele, Cardinal Martino, will travel to London to participate in a series of high profile events to mark the 150th anniversary of the Italian Church in Britain.
To mark the Feast of St George and this historic occasion for the Italian Church in Britain, the Constantinian Order, as an Order of Knighthood recognised by decree of the President and Government of the Italian Republic, has decided to host a sumptuous candle lit dinner at the historic Armourers’ Hall, 81 Coleman Street, London, EC2R 5BJ. Armourers’ Hall is home to the Armourers and Brasiers Company which was founded in 1322 during the reign of King Edward II as the Guild of St George of the Armourers. It will prove a most fitting venue for the Constantinian Order of St George during the week when England celebrates St George’s Day.
During the evening, Cardinal Martino will receive the Freedom of the City of London and His Eminence will address us on the recent historic events within our Church and offer us an insight into our new Pontiff, Pope Francis.
The Dinner will take place on Friday 26 April 2013 from 7-10:30pm and the dress code will be black tie or national dress with decorations. Tickets are available at £125 per person and include a small donation to our Delegation charities. Places will be issued on a first come first served basis and please note that space at the Hall is limited to 80 places.
Please contact the Chancery and indicate you attendance at each event by email and to request a booking form at chancery@constantinian.org.uk, by telephone at 020 7594 0275 or by fax at 020 7594 0265.
